Title: SortOrder Ache
Post by: carolinaswagger on 04/10/13 at 03:50:15
Sort order instructions seem easy enough, but no results.

I've edited the 'cpshop.cgi.sortorder.txt' via my hosting cpanel admin to only contain the following:

Code:
###################################################
# These will be sorted to the top:
###################################################
<if 0,50,51,90>
<div class="deptheader">BIG OLE TITLE</div>
0
50
51
90

###################################################
# Unlisted types will be sorted here in the middle.
###################################################

<div class="deptheader">BIG OLE RANDOM</div>
END
###################################################
# These will be sorted to the bottom:
###################################################
<div class="deptheader">WHOLE LATTA EXTRA</div>
23
87
96

???
No Change, I'm at a loss

Check in your admin page, under "thumbnail page options" there is one called "thumbnail sort order" and if one of the other sort options is picked there it will override the sortorder.txt, make sure it says "preset in sortorder.txt"

(Sorry, when we were talking about it earlier I had forgotten I don't think that instruction is written in the sample sortorder file.)

Yep. That was it  ;D. Works like a charm now.

(No that step isn't listed in the txt file, so)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP! I'm so excited to roll this out, and this is on of the last 2 items on my list before marketing :)

I'm writing these out, for future use, and for anyone else who may need them :)

SortOrder / Sort Order Steps:

1. Edit the TXT file 'cpshop.cgi.sortorder.txt'
2. Follow instructions at the top of the TXT file.
3. Upload
4. Login to the Admin area, and in the 'Thumbnail Page Options' section, go down to where it says 'Thumbnail Sort Order', Select one of the 'Preset in CPSHOP.CGI.SORTORDER.TXT' option.
5. SAVE
Yeah Buddy! That's it.
