Hi all -

First, let me thank you all for the help I've received just from reading your questions and answers. Next, let me thank Marty for cpshop and his excellent support ethic.

Okay, my question is this:

I've conceptualized my Store to be one store with several "lines" of items, each "line" containing several different designs.

Hence, I have a "Terrorwear" line of designs that contain several variations on the same theme. A couple of the the other lines are "TeachShop" and "LostMyShirt".

At CafePress, I knew I could create my own HTML and add images on my main page that would allow me to show these seperate lines (as here, under the auspices of my prototype store - http://www.cafeshops.com/jddesigns). Each line-page contained the individual designs and the subsequent design pages were the actual purchase point.

Can I do something similar with cpshop? If so, how?

Thank you,

JD

You can install multiple copies of cpshop.cgi and cpshop.cgi.config, and use one for each product line.

You would still only need one copy of all the other files.

Here's an example:

Instead of just having:

  • cpshop.cgi
  • cpshop.cgi.config
You could have:

  • lostmyshirt.cgi
  • lostmyshirt.cgi.config
  • teachshop.cgi
  • teachshop.cgi.config
  • terrorwear.cgi
  • terrorwear.cgi.config

Then you'd create a normal HTML store homepage (on your own), and use it to link to each line.

Marty -

This is the coolest damn thing I've seen in a loooong time!

I simply copied cpshop.cgi, renamed it terror.cgi, uploaded it, and the admin panel opens it as editable as the original!

Fantastic bit of work, Marty! Thank you!
