Hello,
I have the script installed and working great on my server "shaktiweb.com" but I would like to also have it used with a different site on the same server with a totally different look
shaktiweb.com/postcards/
I know that I can rename the script for this to something like Halloween.cgi
and rename the configation cgi script but won't the script pull up the same html template I have for the alien site?
How do I use the cpadmin.cgi for bothe sites and have them look and work differntly? The halloween site uses a non-premium store.
Thank you,
Richard

When you have multiple cpshop.cgi files (named differently, of course), cpadmin.cgi gives you a dropdown box at the top of the page to switch between installations.  They both have their own configuration files, and therefore can have their own settings, templates, etc.

Cool I didn't know about this. So, here's my question.

If I want to copy cpshop.cgi to something like store1.cgi and store2.cgi, how can I get the original cpshop.cgi's config into store1.cgi's config other than manually filling everything out again?

I wanted to use multiple stores in the manor, but I keep getting 500 Server Errors after copying the files.

I have:

cpshop.cgi
cpshop.cgi.config
cpshop.cgi.images
geekshop.cgi
geekshop.cgi.config
dgshop.cgi
dgshop.cgi

and nothing but errors.  I chmodded everything 766 as I copied them.  I tried copying over the *.images files too, but that didn't help.

Any suggestions?

How did you copy the files?  Did you just copy them on the server directly, or did you download them and then reupload them with different filenames?

telnetted in:

cp cpshop.cgi nolageek.cgi
cp cpshop.cgi.config nolageek.cgi.config
chmod 755 nolageek.cgi
chmod 755 nolageek.cgi.config

I just did it again.

Could you post or email me a URL, so I can check it out myself?

Post the applicable URLs, so I can see where the problem is.

If you're concerned about posting them here (some people are all about secrecy), then emai them to me.
