Using SSI as a menu with CPshop?

I was trying to figure out a good way to have a nav area(menu) in the CPshop I'm working on right now and bugged someone about how he did his... SSI
I had no idea what it was or how to do it, he suggested I look it up in Dreamweaver help and I did, I got it working, well, I can see it included in DW but not up where the shop is...
I'm wondering if the template page can't call any SSI from inside the cgi-bin, and if not how would I get that to work?
This SSI stuff seems damn-handy if I can make it work. Neato stuff.lol

Thanks in advance and sorry to bug!

The easiest and best way to do that is to make the template setting a URL instead of a file location.  If you allow cpshop to access the page as a webpage, it allows your server to process it first -- including SSIs.

Translation:
1. Put the template in a web-accessible place. (i.e. http://www.cassie.com/mytemplate.html)
2. Enter the URL of the template into cpshop.
3. Test the store.

I got the SSI to work now, I just had to move the template(as an .shtml type) and the ssi file out of the folder it had been, didn't seem to work in the cgi bin.
Now I'm trying to replace the area that the products show up in with a tiny html file, which I read in the admin page but can't seem to get it to go "oh yeah, that's what I should be showing people untill they start clicking on products".
I'm so stoked to have it functional now though, I'm closer to getting the page ready for people to start viewing it which will be great for Turtle Homes...

Thanks Marty
