Filtering for newest design?

I've got the filters down pretty well, but I can't think of how to get a "Six Newest Designs" filter working for my main page. Right now, I've got this:

*,cpfilter_newest:6,cpfilter_template:shpTplt.html

which is good, but only gives the six newest products in the shop (which is a premium). What I want to display is the 6 newest designs, which are in their own sections - so really, what I want to do is display the 6 newest sections. Any ideas?

I might not of understood what your after, but the filter you are using will give you the six newest items in all the sections you have under the wild card.

If you want the six newest items in a section then you can remove the * and put in the number of that section.

If you want the six newsest designs across your design sections then you'd have to insert each sections number.

If you want to display the six newest sections then I don't think there is a filter option for this.

Cheers

Interesting... okay, if I'm right, the cpfilter always returns products as results then, never sections. So, I wonder if there's any way at all to list a section instead of a product. If so, we could tackle the idea of listing sections in a certain order, but I'm not sure there's a way to display a section at all...
