black text override?

There seem to be a few places in the shop where for some reason the text inserted on the product page is ALWAYS black, due to a hardcoded style tags and attributes, which appears to be uncustomisable, and is unable to be worked around using CSS.

In particular this problem effects the text:

click to view front / back:

and

View Larger Image

This problem is especially problematic for me since my website uses a black background, and I wish my shop to be consistent with this.

Code:
<td align="center">
<table border="0" align="center" cellpadding="3">
<tr>
<td class="storesmallprint" style="color:#000000">click to view<br>
front / back:</td>

<td>
<a href="javascript:swapimg('mainimg', 'img1')"><img class="imageborder" name="img1" src="http://prodtn.cafepress.com/2/10660222_F_tn.jpg" width="48" height="48" border="0" alt="front image"></a>
</td>
<td>
<a href="javascript:swapimg('mainimg', 'img2')"><img class="imageborder" name="img2" src="http://prodtn.cafepress.com/2/10660222_B_tn.jpg" width="48" height="48" border="0" alt="back image"></a>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<img src="http://www.cafepress.com/cp/img/spacer.gif" width="1" height="6" alt="" border="0">
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align="center" nowrap class="storesmallprint">
<span class="storesmallprint"><b><style type="text/css"><!--
.zoom:hover{font-weight:bold;color:#000000;}
--></style>&#160;
<br>
<a href="http://www.kiamagic.com/eitp/cafepress.php?storecrc=...&zoom=yes#zoom" class=zoom style="font-family: verdana,geneva,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size: 10px;color:#000000;">
<img src="http://www.kiamagic.com/eitp/images/zoom.gif" height=15 width=16 border=0 align=absmiddle>View Larger Image</a>
</b>
</span>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<img src="http://www.cafepress.com/cp/img/spacer.gif" width="1" height="6" alt="" border="0">
</td>
</tr>
</table>
<br>
<!-- Product Swatches --><!-- /Product Swatches --></td>

Okay, fixed this myself now.  I added the following lines to cpshop.cgi.images

Code:
*||||<body||||<style type=text/css><!-- .storesmallprint { color: #ffffff; } --></style><body
*||||style="font-family: verdana,geneva,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size: 10px;color:#000000;"||||style="font-family: verdana,geneva,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size: 10px;"
*||||style="color:#000000"||||style="color:#ffffff"
*||||.zoom:hover{font-weight:bold;color:#000000;}||||.zoom:hover{font-weight:bold;}

I'm not sure if the first line of those is actually needed, but it isn't doing any harm so I've left it in.  It was my first attempt at correcting the colour, but it didn't work because there are further overrides lower on the page.

Is the code you provided in your main message yours or what you found on Cafepress?

In your second message it looks as if the message board pooched up your backspacing so it's a bit difficult to see what's going on there. (It happens to me too, I usually have to preview and fix my messages)

In any case, it looks like you took care of the "Click to view front/back" with the .storesmallprint class definition.
For the "View Larger Image," try defining .zoom and not just .zoom:hover.

Like so:

Code:
<style>
.storesmallprint {color:white;}
.zoom {color:white;}
.zoom:hover {color:red; font-weight:bold;}
</style>

It would also be good to define these at the top of your layout rather than intertwined within the rest of the page code. Not only will it make the styles easier to edit (because they will all be together), but it will ensure that the definitions are being set before the classes are called on the page.

Hey, I think I'm having this same problem, though mine font is white?

Hmmm!
