I am trying to access cpshop.cgi directly - without use of the sidebar. I was under the impression that adding a store's name to my URL call of the cgi script - I would be able to pull in an entire store (minus its navigation)... like:

http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/mydomain/cpshop.cgi/a_different_store

1) ... it SEEEEMs to work ... but not really... is it pulling the data out of cache on this call?

OR, I might call the script to get to a store's section... like:

http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/mydomain/cpshop.cgi/a_different_store/1209846

This works a LOT better - but not always, as sometimes I get overloaded when the store has lots of products.

2) Well, my general quesiton is how do other people access the script in order to pull in the designs / sections / products from cafepress?

I am sure there are some positive, creative, and good examples - I hope you are willing to share.

Thanks in advance,
jac

Hi Jac,

I created a different CPShop for each affiliate and created a different template for each "shop." I decided to do this when I tried to add a "browse by product type" and got ALL products from all stores as the result. The results are more manageable now.

Good Luck,

Mona
