Customize Layout & Problems

Have CPShop installed and having a few problems.

1) Some of the sections are feeding products and others are not. For example, the following sub section fed the products in correctly:

http://www.dogwiregifts.com/cgi-bin/store/cpshop.cgi/dogwire/dogwire/2640915

However, this subsection has absolutly no products loading (even though both subsections are in the same main section):

http://www.dogwiregifts.com/cgi-bin/store/cpshop.cgi/dogwire/dogwire/1642960

2) It seems I cannot use the smart html option for SEO because my store has a problem loading. Is this normal in larger stores with over 60,000 products?

3) When loading pages, I get a script error at the bottom of the page. Something like this one:

Code:
Line: 661
Char: 2
Error: 's' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: http://www.dogwiregifts.com/cgi-bin/store/cpshop.cgi/dogwire/dogwire/1642960

4) The titles are too close to the design/section images in the table. How do I add more space between the two?

5) The section description is feeding in and it is all centered instead of left justified. How/where do I change that?

1. It sounds like your server might be having issues downloading all the data in a timely manner.  (Your store is pretty big.)  On some servers, the cpshop process will be automatically stopped if it runs too long.  In those cases, often the only thing you can do is break up the store into a few cpshop instances, though I think it'd be worth exploring a little more before resigning yourself to that.

2. Which feature are you having trouble with?  It looks to me like if the other issue was figured out, you'd be able to use the SEOified links just fine.

3. That script error is in your template, it's not cpshop.  It's because you've pulled CafePress' internal tracking code into your template, but the URLs are all broken because it's not on CP's servers.

4. You can update the product and section thumbnail grid HTML in cpadmin, to space things out however you like.

5. You can style the sectiondesc class.  Just add this to your template, or to the CSS override block in cpadmin:

<style type="text/css">
.sectiondesc { text-align: left; }
</style>

Thanks for the quick feedback. I am a little confused on how to change the spacing part as the text below a section or product image does not have a class but rather a br tag. How can I get space between the two if there is only a br tag as follows:

Code:
<td align=center valign=top><font size=2 face="ms sans serif,arial,helvetica">
<a href="http://www.dogwiregifts.com/cgi-bin/store/cpshop.cgi/dogwire/dogwire.120632113"><img border="0" height="150" oldwidth="150" src="http://images.cafepress.com/product/120632113v2_150x150_Front.jpg" alt="Missing Owner Dog T-Shirt" title="Missing Owner Dog T-Shirt"><br>
Missing Owner Dog T-Shirt</a><br>
our price: $17.99</font></td>

First of all, your store is big enough that you should download the 2.5a update, and install it.  It looks like you're having issues with the "server load" message (which 2.5a gets rid of).

As for the grid, you configure it in cpadmin.  This is what your product thumbnail grid block looks like now:

<td align=center>
<table width=150>
<tr>
<td align=center valign=top><font size=2 face="ms sans serif,arial,helvetica">
<[linkstarts]><[thumbnail]><br>
<[productname]><[linkends]><br>
our price: <[productcost]></font></td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>

You could try playing with that code, change the nested table into divs, add divs, expand the table -- anything you want.
