How can I make filter pages upload time shorter?

After seting up my table for product links with all the filters, I have notice everytime I go to one of those pages, for examples white t-shirts, the uploading time is very long.

Is there any way to make it short?

Thank you.

Setup a cpoutput folder.  Output caching will decrease the 2nd and subsequent page load times immensely.

Mr. Marty, I have no idea what are you talKing about.

Do I just add a folder named CPoutput like the cpbackup, cpcache and cplogs to my CPshop folder?

Yes, but in all lowercase (cpoutput).  You may also have to make sure the folder has the correct permissions, but try creating the folder first and see if it works.

what should the settings be?

Marty, will this generally speed things up for any type of shop?

It'll help most shops, especially large ones.  Though it can also take up a lot of disk space, and it does have its quirks.

It really works best with either a very low output cache size limit (like 5-10 MB), or with no limit at all, though that usually means you actually have to go in and manually empty your cache (by FTPing/logging into your server and deleting the files).
