Keep Shopping Button?

Is there a setting that I missing somewhere in CPShop? Whenever someone clicks on the "Keep Shopping" button in the shopping cart, it brings them back to my www.cafepress.com/store instead of www.store.com where my CPShop is.

Besides setting up a redirect on the main www.cafepress.com/store page, is there a way to get that "Keep Shopping" button to send them back to the right place (CPShop)?

(My Google Analytics keeps showing them as "bounce" out even though they are technically never leaving. So my bounce rate is high if they keep shopping.)

Thanks!

Hmmm, I thought the keep shopping value passed to the CP form from cpshop was set by a variable that is the scripturl, which would be whatever your script URL is   , i.e. if your cpshop.cgi for example is in your cgi-bin the keep shopping URL would be www.example.com/cgi-bin/your_cpshop.cgi .

Don't know how it's getting your CP URL...

Actually I have redirects on the CP side of things should anyone go there, it would redirect them to my offsite URL.

The one in question was my new store http://www.catwiregifts.com and if I remove the JS redirect I have on the CP side, the Keep Shopping button will bring them back to http://www.cafepress.com/catwire. That, of course, is not what I want.

So, I am wondering if there is some checkbox or something in CPShop that I am not checking.

Thanks!

Actually, it's working fine for me too.  I'm getting sent directly to your domain, and the redirect isn't doing it.

I am having a similar issue. Go to http://www.worduptees.com which is what my main page is. I the cp settings I changed the Mail URL to be http://www.worduptess.com but if you add something to the cart and hit keep shopping it takes me back to http://www.worduptees.com/store/chshop.cgi.

Any help? I just want the keep shopping button to return me to http://www.worduptees.com

I did and its still redirecting me to the wrong place. Any other suggestions?

Also off the subject. If I delete my cpcache folder am I assuming that no cache will be kept?

Actually it doesnt work fine Marty. I just took the redirect out of the cafepress based store description for my catwiregifts.com website, then went to the domain (not CP), went into the shopping cart and clicked keep shopping. It then brought me to http://www.cafepress.com/catwire/0 and not catwiregifts.com as I have CPShop set up as the main store.

Since I have both the main body of http://www.cafepress.com/catwire/0 and catwiregifts.com mirrored, I will leave it up without the redirect code in the store description so you can see for yourself and test it. This happens on all my CPShop stores.

Please help!

Hazel, it's working for me just fine.  You might be experiencing a cookie issue of some kind.

Try restarting your browser, navigating directly to your cpshop store, going to a product page, adding to cart, and then hitting the Keep Shopping button.

Oh!! So if you don't add anything to your cart but go to the cart and click "keep shopping", then it will bring you to the Cafepress side. However, if you add something from CPShop, and click "Keep Shopping", then it will bring you back to your domain. Interesting....

The reason why I kept going back to the CP side is because I would just click on "Cart" and then "Keep Shopping" because I already had items in my cart from my other shops and leave them there to test. Is there any way to make sure people go to domain if they happen to do what I did?

You're not setting the keepshopping variable in your cart link.

It should be something like:

http://www.cafepress.com/cp/viewcart.aspx?s=catwire&keepshopping=http://www.catwiregifts.com/

If I remember correctly, your link is hard-coded into your template, so you'd just edit the HTML.
