Template / CSS only working on index

Hello,

I've uploaded a very basic custom cptemplate:

Code:
<body>
<div id="header">
 <h1>Test Store</h1>
</div>

<div id="content">
 <p><[content]></p>
</div>

<div id="sidebar">
 <p><[sidebar]></p>
</div>
</body>

with very basic CSS:

Code:
body {
     font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
     font-size: 100%;
     background: #000000;
}

for initial testing/figuring out purposes. It is working perfectly on the "index" page (cpshop.cgi), but as soon as I click any link, either to a store id link or product page, all of the above styling is null and void and it reverts to the built in cpshop styling. This is despite having everything set to use the default template, and even specifically setting it to use cptemplate.html.

The CSS is within its own sheet, stylesheet.css, and cpshop is set to use this via "other display options".

1. Make sure the code to the css file includes the entire address (http://www.yourdomain.com/yourstylesheet.css)

2. There's a place in the admin screen where you can paste your css or ref to a style sheet to override CPShop's styles.

Yes, I have it in the box at the bottom of the Other Display Options section.

Thank you very, very much... that did the trick and I am well pleased!

Also, I recognize your user name as being the owner of a blog that I have bookmarked... good stuff, and again, much appreciated!

I have the link to my CSS file in my template [the full path]. But still I don't see the changes I make.

I checkmarked: hide cpshop's built-in stylesheets.

In the Admin area, where it says: CSS Style Override, do I paste my whole CSS in that box? Or just the URL of where it's located?

so what did you do??  8-)

I tried putting the html to link to external CSS AND suppressed CP styles but didn't work.  I ended up putting the link to the styles in my template.
