I just noticed in the marketplace the new "add to cart" under the product thumbs.  Is there any way we can do this in cpshop?  I'm sure CP put a lot of thought into doing that, so I would love to try it out.

Adding something like this to your product thumbnail grid template would probably work:

UPDATED:

Be sure to replace dummystoreid with your Dummy Store ID, www.mydomain.com with your actual domain, and you'll probably want a better add-to-cart button than that.

Thanks Marty!  That worked great.  One more thing, the proceed to checkout button doesn't work right... is there any way to get the image to behave like this previous code you gave me.  I'm sorry, this is where I get lost with code and don't know where to put it correctly.

Code:
<script language="javascript">document.write('<input type=hidden name=keepshopping value="' + location.href + '">')</script>

When I tried that code, I noticed a strange bug/config issue, it DID add the item to the cart however when I click on keep shopping, it sends me to http://gifts.cafepress.com/cpshop

Hi,

Did anyone find a fix for this? Seems like a very useful and nifty tool.

Unfortunately I got the same problem whereby the marketplace is still tied to the cart (Keep Shopping takes you to the marketplace e.g. gifts.cafepress.com or arts.cafepress.com )

The best I could do was change q=cpshop to q=gerbilgoods
That makes the link go to:
gifts.cafepress.com/gerbilgoods
(basically a search for gerbilgoods products in the gifts category)

But unfortunately thats still dumping you to the general marketplace and without any referral ids either so you wouldn't make any profit if they wandered elsewhere. Adding any referral stuff or keepshopping=yoursite to the link just made everything error out.

I've updated my earlier post with improved code.  You'll still need to change out the dummystoreid and www.mydomain.com parts of it, but it should work pretty well.

Hi Marty,

I added the new "add to cart" buttons to my website a few days ago and it works very well. Today I received my first sale as a result of those buttons, but the only problem is...they're marked as Marketplace as the source. Should it be doing that? Is there something I could change to the link to make it be a Shop source?

Thanks for your help

Sort of.  The new bonus system that starts next month only counts sales that are made through your shop towards the bonus.  So if you are getting sales through your shop but they're being marked as marketplace you're missing out on adding to your total shop sales and increasing your bonus.

Is there a fix for this?  I would love to use this in my shops if it will mark my sales as shop.

If there is a fix, it'd be on the CafePress end.

And I also have yet to verify this behavior.  Has anyone else tested this?
