Pass CJ PID on Custom PHP Page

Anyone know of or had success in passing the CJ PID on a custom php page?

I would like to offer to affiliates the ability to promote my index page which is independent and php.  Right now they have to use http://site.com/cgi-bin/cpshop.cgi?cjpid=XXXXXX
which is not terrible, but aslo not the most desirable affiliate url to be using.

I thought I had read about someone doing this, but couldn't find the post if there is one.  TIA!

That would be the one! Thanks Marty.
I tried it out and it doesn't seem to work for me.  I cleared the cache/cookies and it doesn't seem to write the pid.   Could I be missing something?  Does something need to be changed in the JS?

Here's a test

I can get an affiliate link to work on a page using my products template, but it just goes to a blank page on a thumbs template.  However, when hovering, it doesn't show a cjpid.

Is this the way it is supposed to work?  Does it not work with SEOified links?  I am accepting external PIDs.

Even with the js on a non cpshop page, I don't see it working.

confused...

I'd have to see examples, unfortunately, to have any real idea what the problem could be.

Ok, here's what I see:
1.
Code:
http://www.dreamwhisperer.com/designshop.pl?i=flowers.dreamwhisper.5937564+bleeding-heart-dry-brush.html/?cjpid=xxxxxxxx
gives the right display but when hovering on a product, I see no cjpid.
2.
Code:
http://www.dreamwhisperer.com/designshop.pl?i=flowers/?cjpid=xxxxxxxx

Don't know if this does anything.  Do I need to add that js to my thumbs template or is that a cpshop automatic thing?
3.
Code:
http://www.dreamwhisperer.com/?cjpid=xxxxxxxx

I have no idea if this does anything at all but I do have the js from the other post on that page.

I have tried it with the slash and without the slash before ?cjpid=xxxxxxxx

You can only have one ? per URL.  Beyond that you should use the & character.

/designshop.pl?i=flowers.dreamwhisper.5937564+bleeding-heart-dry-brush.html/&cjpid=xxxxxxxx
