Customizing the product page

I'm not exactly happy with the product pages. Where exactly would I look if I wanted to customize that section? For example. The font of the price looks way too big. How would I go about making it smaller? May style sheet doesn't seem to be having much effect on this section.

To make the font size change, you can use CSS.

I tried that and it doesn't seem to be effecting the size of this part of the page. I have tried disabling the CSS that comes with cp shop and just using my own and it still doesn't seem to change.

Have you tried to add the CSS code for the resize to your CPAdmin? I once had to add my normal CSS code there because CPAdmin kept overwriting my formatting.

I added the whole stylesheet to CPAdmin because the program wouldn't recognize it otherwise.

Hmm - then this sounds like something Marty may be best to help with. Sorry.

Yeah, since I haven't gotten a solution to a lot of my problems on the board, I tried emailing him directly. I haven't gotten a reply back just yet though.

Have you tried adding something to the CSS override box in cpadmin?

Something like:

<style type="text/css">
#sellPriceDiv { font-size: 9pt; }
</style>

Thanks Marty. Adding that styling did make it smaller.

Okay, now here is another question for you about the product page. The Product Information area is kind of a mess.

On the cafepress store it has Fit: Standard above a picture that has this text next to it "Not too tight, not too loose". On the right of that you have the fabric thickness chart. On the cp shop version, however, it looks like this

Product Information
Fit: Standard
image
Not too tight, not too loose.
Fabric thickness chart

It seems like there is a <br> between every piece of information rather than it being displayed side-by-side.

Could someone please answer me as to why the product page information isn't formatted properly? I tried using only the template supplied with CP Chop and it still displays the output as I described in my previous message.

Add this to your CSS:

#miscNotesContainer {
     position:relative;
     width:250px;
     height:70px;
     padding:10px 0px 10px 0px;
}
#fitFact {
     position:relative;
     left:0px;
     font-size: 9px;
     vertical-align:middle;
     padding:0px;
     margin:0px;
     text-align:left;
     width:135px;
}
#fabric {
     position:absolute;
     left:135px;
     top:12px;
     width:125px;
     font-size: 9px;
     vertical-align:middle;
     padding-left:15px;
     text-align:center;
}
.fitIcon {
     margin:0px 5px 10px 0px;
     align:right;
}
.fabricScale {
     margin:3px;
}
#md {
     position:absolute;
     width:1px;
     height:60px;
     left:140px;
     top:10px;
     border-left:1px #cccccc dotted;
}
.fitTitle {
     margin-bottom:5px;
}

.fitImage {
     float: left;
     margin-right: 2px;
}
