I'm quite certain there are several million 'low productivity head indentations' in walls the world over due to the fact that IE never complies with the standard everyone else agrees on.

Hey, I have a question next time you're in the neighborhood, I've worked around it but it's bugging me as to why it's doing this and I can't figure it out. If I have

Code:
'159' => { 'target' => 'T-', 'replace' => 'Dark T-Shirt' }, #Men's Fitted T-Shirt (dark)

on the product page the Product Name comes out fine, but the breadcrumb comes out "Blah Blah Blah Dark Dark T-Shirt". In order to get around the double Dark I have to put

Code:
'159' => { 'target' => 'Fitted', 'replace' => 'Fitted Dark T-Shirt' }, #Men's Fitted T-Shirt (dark)

It's not just for that product # , it's a bunch of them. Baffles me.

New question re hash table:

Say I have multiple of the same product type number I need to change/fix the descriptions of, but each has a different description. I kept the description short in CP so it doesn't truncate, now I want to add back the entire description in my shop.

e.g. in CP I call it "My Product Name T-shirt"

but want the full product name in my shop to be "My Really, Really, Really Long Product Name That Would Truncate At CP T-shirt"

Say I have several of these same product types with similar but different full length names. In the hash table you can't put more than one of the same type #, and you can't have more than one "target" or "replace" under the same type #, it's only going to use one of them and ignore the other. Is there a way to do that, I've tried everything I can think of, no luck.

Was really hoping something like the below would work, but not

Code:
'295' => { 'target' => 'This', 'replace' => 'That'} || {'target' => 'The', 'replace' => 'Other' },

I was noticing something on CP the other day... It looks like they've rejigged product names to NOT truncate really long names... Can anyone else confirm?

Hmm, I just tried adding some Women's Plus Size Scoop Neck Dark T-shirts.

Don't know which one CPshop will pull in (I haven't cleared cache in a while.) but it looks like the name's different for me when viewed in shop vs MP.

Still truncating in my cafepress shop when I add a design with a long name. (Though it seems like it's all off the product type end, none off the design name)

In the MP it seems like the name *isn't* truncated, but it looks like it isn't taking the product name off the product actually, it's design name + product type.

The MP also looks like it's maybe giving saner product type names now, because it's appending it as the simpler "plus size t-shirt" even with a short design name.

(I also noticed when tagging a test image that the design name field won't stop me typing forever though it looks like it's actually a 50 character limit)

Not sure if that helps you, but anyway, that's what happened for me.

Nope, they're still truncated, both shop and MP. They' shortened some names awhile back in the MP, but some are still messed up, I found many of mine as "...Plus Size Scoop Neck" and thought they at least figured out how to not leave partial words, but just found a "...Plus Size Scoop Nec" and a couple "...Plus Size V-Neck Da" and several others, both in the MP and my shop.

Indeed, it can be worse than that ... It seems a number of my product names have been automatically converted by CP to a 'default' ... The filename of the image used to create the product. <sigh>

Oh yeah, that's their new "system", ain't it great? But it seems like the Product Name field in the shop itself overrides it, at least so far. Shh, don't let them know.
