Marty,

Its probably something simple but Im not too good with scripts.

I get this message when trying to get to cpadmin.cgi/cpshop.cgi

The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

Thanks,

What's the full URL?

Also, what FTP program did you use to transfer the files to your server?

It looks like you're using IIS.  You might want to try renaming the following files:

cpshop.cgi --> cpshop.pl
cpadmin.cgi --> cpadmin.pl
cpshop.cgi.config --> cpshop.pl.config
cpshop.cgi.images --> cpshop.pl.images

Also make sure you entered the correct $script_dir entry at the top of both cpshop.pl and cpadmin.pl.

Then try loading:
http://www.daisypatch.cooktoon.com/cgi-bin/store/cpadmin.pl

Do you have access to an IIS error log?  Perhaps that will have a specific message that will shed a light on the problem.

access the Internet Services Manager through the following path:

Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Internet Services
Manager.

Then expand the tree until you see "Default Web Site" and right-click on it and select Properties. Then select the "Home Directory" tab, then click on the "Configuration..." button under "Application Settings."

Now you'll see the "Application Configuration" dialog, where the "App Mappings" tab should be active. Scroll through the list and find the one for ".pl", then click on Edit.

You will want to keep the file path, but change the perl.exe to "perlis.dll". And remove the "%$" after the file name.

Save your changes and then restart your web server to ensure the changes take affect and hopefully that will give you better luck with avoiding those random CGI errors.

I tried the above change to use the .dll and now I get "Service Unavailable" displayed.  I had the same CGI error as above.  Anyone have similar issues with IIS6 and Perl?

I am also receiving the "The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers." message... when the files are .cgi and/or .pl.

Well, first thing first: do you have any CGI error logs?  Usually they'll offer some insight.
