Installation problem, no store to process?

So I was (I thought) following the instructions for shop installation - and somewhere along the way I either missed something or forgot something. Now I view a page full of HTML that at the bottom says 'You don't have any stores for cpshop to process.' What did I do? How do I fix this? - Thanks!

Is there any reason you've hidden your only store ID entry?  You've got the "do not show this entry in the sidebar or the homepage" checkbox checked for your only store ID.

Your host (Netfirms) isn't cpshop-compatible.

Besides the fact that they don't support socket connections (a necessity with cpshop), they muck with everything, inserting their banner code into everything.
