Hi! I'm really really interested in your cpShop cos' it seems to solve my problems with CafePress.

Well, if you can help me solve my questions about your product, I wouldn't mind paying US$30 for your product!

1) Well, a Premium Shop allows you to have 1 design on many kinds of products, while a basic shop allows you to have 1 design per 1 kind of product. That sucks for the basic shop.
So, to get around this, I can have 20 stores for each kind of design per product. This is messy, though.

So, can I use cpShop to integrate them naturally and easily so that the customer will feel as though everything is under one neat house?

2) Originally, each page in the CafePress shops have this "Add to Cart" button next to the product.
If cpShop integrates everything from different stores together, will this "Add to Cart" function create a bug or break the coding of cpShop or expose some other weird stuff?

That's all I have for now. I'm really interested in your program and hope you can reply.

Thank you for your time!

Simply put, the whole point of cpshop is to a) combine basic shops into one superstore and b) allow the webmaster to customize their look.

And no, there won't be any compatibility problems (especially since I'm a developer at CafePress during the day).

Thanks Marty!
So, I assume the issue of adding several items from different stores in one central shopping cart is no problem too?

3 more questions :

1) Do u accept direct cash-order?(from me to postman to you)

2) Are you still actively developing cpShop now, and in the future?

3) Is cpShop 99.9% bug-free?

Thanks!

Adding products from multiple stores is not a problem, no.

And to answer the other questions:

1) I haven't done a straight cash transaction to date, no.  Though I suppose I could, if necessary.

2) I'm haven't been busily adding features recently, though I still plan to do a complete revamp of it, which should add some significant feature-adding.  (Most of the time I add features, it's typically features I'm adding directly to the CafePress site.)  I am, however, planning to support it indefinitely.

3) This would be a better question to ask other folks, since they're the ones that get to use it in different situations.  But, to my knowledge, there are no significant bugs in cpshop.

Thanks a lot for your fast reply!

The reason why I can't get a Premium Shop is cos' CafePress doesn't accept money orders from foreign countries, and I don't have credit cards or anything too.(only cash...... :-D)

Thanks Marty!

By the way, Marty.......in the CafePress shops, you've probably seen this link called "View larger image".

When you click on this link, you'll be shown the more detailed image of the shirt design.

Is it possible to change the URL of this link to something else, either via your script(CPShop) or via some custom HTML coding/customization using the tools provided by CafePress?

What I want is that when the user clicks the "View larger image" link, I want some other pictures or web sites to be shown instead.

Thanks,
Xeon!

There's no way to do it through the CafePress site.

Through cpshop, you can use the cpshop.cgi.images file, which actually works as a big replacement system (changing one piece of HTML to something different).  Using it, you can replace any code as necessary, though it might be a little cumbersome to do so on a product-by-product basis.

Technically speaking, you could also make a change to the cpshop.cgi file directly, and that too could accomplish the change.  You'd need some knowledge of perl to do it that way, though.

Thanks a lot, Marty!

And if I request that you do it for me after getting CPShop, will you charge any price?
Like an additional US$5 or more etc.?

Thanks!

I mean the changing of the code in the cpshop.cgi file directly, not the first method mentioned.

Good day,

Typically if you just explain what you want here in the forums, I just post the new code change for you, which you can cut-and-paste into the file.  That way, if anyone else is looking to do the same thing, they can just use the post as a reference.

And in that case, no, there's no fee.

Oh, and Marty.......regarding the T-shirt Preview images on our shops provided by CafePress, can we replace them with our own images too, using CPShop?

Is it difficult?

Thanks,
Xeon.

That's what the cpshop.cgi.images file is for.

You can find the tutorial on it here.

Any idea when we'll see the next version with additional capabilities added?

No rush....just curious
