marty.net affiliate options???

Excuse my complete ignorance of the subject, but I have a couple questions.

1) Are these options an either or situation (i.e. I fill out my PID, then the accept external PID should be NO) or am I just reading this wrong. Or should I be reading it as if it's an External PID, it will wipe my PID for that transaction only

Nevermind this question answered here:

I hate when that happens, still need the one below.

2) "Just make sure they're not opted out of the Affiliate Program" Is there a way to check this somewhere?

Thanks
-Garrett

Stores that are opted out of the affiliate program do not appear in CafePress search.

If you can find it in the CP search engine, it's opted in.

Marty or whoever, one more question on the affiliate program.

I have a homepage (non-cpshop), so if anyone hits .../cpshop.cgi they are redirected to my homepage.

If someone wants to set up  an affiliate link to my cpshop, just not one design, what would the affiliate link look like?

.../cpshop.cgi?pid=xxxxxx or
.../cpshop.cgi/?pid=xxxxxx or
what if any?

I tried both these and looked at my cookies and couldn't find one with a pid, although I saw one for marty.net with a cppid (I think)

I guess what I'm trying to ask is what do I have them make their link like?
And is that PID good just for that visit? If the visitor comes back (not from an affiliate link), does my pid come into play for my affiliate designs.

Thanks

.../cpshop.cgi?pid=xxxxxx

would be the most appropriate.

And you'd actually get a cookie set from your own domain.  I can't actually set cafepress.com cookies.

Yeah I understand it's from my domain, but I still didn't see a cookie, does it set the cookie, after the redirect to my homepage in the code? Since I'm not using the cpshop homepage, it's not setting the cookie for affiliates. Maybe I'm  looking for the wrong thing what's the name of the cookie?

Okay I see the cookie, I deleted all my domain cookies and cafepress cookies. My problem was I was looking at mydomain.com cookies, I had to scroll way down to www.mydomain.com cookies. Added items to cart and a cpshop and cafepress cppid cookie was set, with my pid. So I'm good now.
